Here we sit , on the precipice of a new year…. I choose to spend the day in reflection of last year and preparing to embrace 2011. I reflect on seven chosen areas of my life , look at my journey last year and where I could go with them this year.      …

Gloria Vendryes - I love that photo of you, Beth. And as always your words give me alot to think about. Thanks, Mom

bill g - greetings I fully agree. Creating art creates energy. That’s a secret most people don’t realize. I gain energy. I gain purpose.

Nina - I clean, contemplate and consider the last moments of my ending year doing exactly what I want:: dreaming, digesting my dreams and directing degrees of movement large and small into the gratefulness that I AM and that we share together. All kinds of Blessings for 2011 — With Great Love, ng

How an image can change your life journey

Learning how to image or hold an image in my imagination is essential. When I allow myself to hold an image in my mind and to value its presence, I have an extraordinary fluid medium to work with !

Nina - I RECOGNIZE THAT GARDEN! AND THAT BELIEVE!!! YOU HAVE CONVERTED ME. THANK YOU! :)

admin - Observing oneself allows you to self reflect. Viewing your life as a work of art exposes the importance of each decision and the possibility of transformation.
Enjoy the journey!

Nina - I observe how I feel in each situation I find myself during the day. From here I can make a choice of how I want to respond. This brings me to the Art of Living My Life.

Your painting is so soft today, Beth. Thank you ! :)

Gloria Vendryes - That quote from Hebrews has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I find it to be thought-provoking. I am enjoying all your paintings.

Mom

Carole - David Brooks, columnist for the New York Times, spelled out something during an interview with Charlie Rose which sounded so familiar to me, yet, was giving it a new frame to understand. For years, I practiced the process of intensely working on a painting, and then step away to create some space, often, letting it sit over night. It is our unconscious that gets to work when we relax after an intense, conscious effort. David Brooks said: “You have to feed the unconscious”. It is this wonderful interplay between conscious effort and the unconscious that creates art. Sounds old, yet new.

admin - Slow down and observe the process, is right!

Laura - This reminded me to slow down this morning. That is quite an accomplishment considering the tenor of the last 4 weeks. thank you.
